Alchemy in ArcheAge - Recipes, Reagents, Leveling

Alchemy is one of the most interesting and beneficial professions in ArcheAge and if you decide to become alchemist you will have a lot of fun creating different items. This profession allows to create not only useful potions but also ingredients for gear dyes, lunatones for gear improvements and other useful things. The great advantage of this profession is that it also allows to work with Akhium.
Alchemy offers a lot of interesting recipes and you will have to spend time to understand how to craft, but the time you spend is worth it. Top level Alchemists can create amazing items for their own usage or for selling to other players at a high price. Items created by them are used in other professions and the demand for such items is always high.
Reagents
It’s impossible to imagine an Alchemist without different herbs and reagents. If you are going to become great alchemist you will have to get familiar with Farming and you will have to grow a lot of plants, trees and even animals. It is difficult to grow all the stuff alone because of limited labor power but you can cooperate with friends or create other characters for this. Farming is the core source of reagents for any alchemist. Sometimes you will have to grow plants in Aquafarms ( underwater farms), because some plants can be raised only there.

Alchemy Tables
After you get all the required reagents, you need to find a place for mixing all of them into one potion. You will require Alchemy Table in order to craft. There are different Alchemy Tables in ArcheAge. Simple table allows to craft simple items and can be found in most villages in the game, but if you want to create something cool you will need Regal Alchemy Table. You can buy table at a special trading island – Mirage Island. This island is full of traders offering you different blueprints and recipes including tables you need.

Potions
In every MMO Alchemy allows to create potions and ArcheAge is not an exception. Players will always need potions. Healing potions, manna potions, potions of physical protection, magical defense, attack speed and even top level elite potions can be crafted by alchemist and sold to other players. Crafting potions is a rather good way to make some money.
Archeum Processing
Alchemy also allows to process Archeum. You don’t need to advance in alchemy too much in order to be able to do it. Even low level specialists can process archeum and shards.
The core thing you need to know is that 1 Essence can be disintegrated in 4 Crystals. 1 Crystal in 4 Shards and 1 Shard in 4 Dust.
BUT: you need to have 5 Dust to create 1 Shard. 5 Shards to create 1 Crystal and 5 Crystals to create 1 Essence.
If you create Shards, Crystals or Dust you spend more resources than you get from disintegrating.
Lunastones
Lunastones can be inserted into gear to improve its characteristics. Different lunastones give different bonuses. The more you advance in Alchemy the stronger stones you can craft. Note, that some stones are for specific placements only, for example Flawless Nova Lunastone can be inserted into 1-H Gear only.
Dyes
There are 3 types pf Dyes: for cloth, leather and plate armor. Dyes are used for changing color of items. They don’t add extra effects or make item stronger. It’s just a tool for making an item more stylish. Almost all materials for making Dyes can be obtained from farms.
Reagents for Armor Crafters
There is special oil and polish required for crafting Leather and Plate types of armor. As you see there will be constsnt demand for this type of product and alchemist can benefit from it.
Magical Items
Magical items are special items that can be used for restoring destroyed machines (tanks, war ships and so on), improving racing cars and ships. These items can also be sold at a very good price.
Leveling
As you probably know ArcheAge is using unusual system of profession leveling. Your current rank doesn’t influence the leveling speed and there are no experience penalties for crafting low level items when you are advanced alchemist. It means you can become Master by crafting low level potions or paints. Yes, it’s possible to choose for example health potion and craft it until you reach maximum level. Every time you craft such potion you get the same amount of Alchemy experience.
The leveling speed depends on the quantity of labor points you spend for a specific profession. The core leveling rule is: you need to spend labor points in order to advance. The more labor you spend for crafting alchemy items the farther you advance.
They say that one of the best and the most beneficial ways to level Alchemy is to craft reagents and potions. Reagents are always required by other players and you can always sell them at a good price. Potions are also in demand and cam be used by your character during questing. Thus you will not only increase level of the profession but also get some money and benefits.
